At Ruoka on valmis, we believe that food has the power to transform ordinary moments into extraordinary experiences.
Ruoka on Valmis means The food is ready in Finnish, and that’s the sound of our passion for cooking and baking!
We’re an Italo-Finnish couple based in Finland, and our story began between the walls of a classroom in Helsinki where we first met. Since that day we have been inseparable.
Since the outbreak of the Covid pandemic and the beginning of social distancing, we started to spend more and more time in our kitchen to experiment with new ingredients and cheer each other up. Little did we know that was going to be the turning point for two major projects!
As our collection of delicious recipes began to grow, we decided to start sharing our creations with the public and opened an Instagram page, Ruoka on Valmis, where we now have more than 3K followers and counting.
We believe that sharing is the key to happiness, so why not do it on a larger scale? After Instagram, we’ve stepped up our game and are happy to launch this new experiment: the Ruoka on Valmis blog.
Our blog includes dishes from different cuisines, mainly Finnish, Italian, and Asian, but we like experimenting with dishes from all over the world. Additionally, we will share articles about Finnish cuisine with all of its colors, flavors, peculiarities, and food-related festivities.
